The Governor congratulated recipients and praised their achievements, emphasizing the importance of preserving culture, traditions, and language. He urged the youth to preserve their language and traditions, fostering national cohesiveness. The ceremony honored Bharatiya Nepali-speaking individuals, including National Archery Coach Ms. Jimmy Lepcha and Chief Editor of Himalaya Darpan (Siliguri) Nepali Daily Dr. Anmol Mukhia. The event attracted elite invitees, board members, principals, instructors, and students from various schools.

In his speech, the Hon’ble Governor congratulated the recipients and praised their achievements. This incident rejuvenated and satisfied him, he said. The Governor lauded the Social Engineers’ Bharatiya Nepali-speaking community fortification.
A place is developed when its culture, traditions, and language are preserved, he added. Many communities in India have transformed over time. Our nation has long supported inclusive communities, and Nepali heritage and customs are especially important. His lecture stressed the importance of tradition.
Social Engineers aim to unite and advance the Nepali-speaking community. The Governor quoted “Bhasa ho, sabitya hamro,” to honour Adi Kavi Banubhakta’s inspiring literature, a national treasure. He advised the youthful audience to preserve their language and traditions as essential to their identity. These programmes foster national cohesiveness. Youth are the nation’s powerhouse and must carry on their habits and traditions. Our objective should be to give back to society in every manner, and events like these help us do that. The Governor prayed that such programmes, which encourage youth, would continue.
The ceremony honoured Bharatiya Nepali-speaking people who excelled in various fields, including National Archery Coach Ms. Jimmy Lepcha and the Chief Editor of Himalaya Darpan (Siliguri) Nepali Daily, who selflessly protected literature through his writings. In addition, Sikkim Manipal University Department Head/Assistant Professor Dr. Anmol Mukhia was honoured for his accomplishments.
Cultural troupe members performed traditional Nepali songs and the Bhoilenee dance.
